LaHura L. Larkin is a certified middle school teacher and educational consultant whose work centers on improving educational outcomes and promoting financial literacy to expand opportunities in higher education. She specializes in guiding students and families through the college readiness process, using a multifaceted hands-on approach designed for twenty-first-century learners.

With nineteen years of experience in academia, Ms. Larkin has served as the Disability Student Services Coordinator at Albany State University, where she developed strategies that supported students with disabilities in achieving stronger academic outcomes. She also represented the university in the Dougherty Leadership Institute, served on committees spanning Veteran Affairs to Judicial Affairs, and became a certified test administrator for the ACT, SAT, GRE, LSAT, PCAT, and MCAT. Her service extended beyond campus as liaison for the Special Olympics in Albany and Southwest Georgia, as well as a frequent participant in national higher education conferences.

Ms. Larkin is a double alumna of the “Unsinkable” Albany State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Science with a minor in Education and a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Public Policy and Healthcare Administration. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and in her leisure time enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. She is also the proud mother of one son, Xavier.

Planning for College

College is one of the most significant financial investments a family can make. It’s never too early to begin preparing for the admission process. At 3L Educational Consulting, we encourage students and families to begin their planning as early as 11th grade—through college tours, standardized test preparation, and leadership development in extracurricular activities. Our goal is to help students succeed academically and financially while preparing for life after high school.
